A Swift Career Boost

hav1

Everybody and their brother saw the VMA’s, so I wont bore anyone with rewriting the details of the most talked about moment of the evening: Kanye.

Being that it was Taylor Swift’s very first VMA win, the fact that Kanye stole her spotlight and even casted a disparaging light on her work, left a sour taste in the mouths of viewers and attendees alike. Thank goodness Beyonce has some class, right?

Ironically enough, Kanye’s bold move did anything but hurt Swift. After the fact, Swift has been viewed as a victim and the 19-year-old, blonde headed, girl next door type is now raised on a metaphorical platform, while West is being continuously vilified. This is undoubtedly one of the best things to ever happen to her career. Oddly enough, her previous career boost came when news spread that Joe Jonas dumped her over the phone. Two negative situations where Swift appears as the victim capitalized on: the power of positive thinking or dumb luck? You decide.

Luckily for Swift, she’s immensely talented and her music already sells astonishingly well. Whether people feel sorry for her, empathize with her or want to see if her work warrants the publicity it gets, Taylor Swift’s career is anything but a sob story.

I’d say it is a case of a fantastic publicist and ruthless management team.

Immense talent? Nope, don’t see it, not at all.

  2. Darvin says:

You do not see it simply because you are to stupid to see it.
