Anna Kendrick

It’s always hard to tell if a young actor or actress is going to remain big time for the long haul. Plenty of people have started hot and heavy just to have their careers fizzle into B-movies and straight-to-video shame…looking at you, Corey Feldman.

Anna Kendrick is sort of an interesting case. Sure, most teenyboppers will love her for her role in the Twilight series but despite box office ‘cha-ching,’ those films aren’t revered for their high amount of acting aptitude. The flip side of the coin for Kendrick is, she actually can act and we saw it in Up In The Air; a portrayal that won her several awards and even got her nominated for an Oscar.

 

Currently, you can see Kendrick in another critically acclaimed film, 50/50, in which she stars alongside Seth Rogen and Joseph Gordon-Levitt. Her performance in this film has also got critics talking.

 

So, it would appear that Kendrick (or probably her agent) has a keen eye for roles that are high profile. Whether it be pop culturally phenomenal roles as in Twilight that aren’t known for breakout acting or serious, dramatic roles that challenge her skills like Up In The Air, Kendrick shines in the spotlight either way.
