Emma Watson

Sometimes you make it big in Hollywood after years of hard work and sometimes you just get lucky. Emma Watson is one of the hottest young stars in the world right now and her meteoric rise to fame started at age 9.

Watson landed the role of Hermione Granger in the Harry Potter series at age 9. Sure, she was a cute little girl but what most people may not realize, is that not only would Harry Potter and The Sorcerer’s Stone (2001) be her first experience on film, but it would be her first time doing any acting outside of a school play. Going from performing on a stage with 7-year-olds dressed as trees in butcher paper to the leading female in an eight-part major Hollywood production that spans an entire decade is quite an impressive feat.

To date, Watson is still best known for her Potter role but now that the series has ended she is starting to dabble in more adult roles. She can be seen alongside Michelle Williams in My Week with Marilyn later this year. In 2012, She will play the lead female role in The Perks of Being a Wallflower, which also stars Paul Rudd and Dylan McDermott.

Outside of film, 21-year-old Watson has an ever-growing reputation as one of the world’s youngest fashionistas and has landed a number of modeling gigs as a result.
