Gina Carano

When you’re making a movie about a female black ops soldier who is betrayed and seeks revenge, you need to cast someone who can actually make the audience believe she could do some damage.  Casting Gina Carano in Haywire is the perfect choice because she actually can kick some serious ass.

Carano is a Jill of all trades; she is a model, actress, former MMA fighter, former pro kickboxer and even a former American Gladiator. She’s gorgeous and can knockout any guy in a biker bar too. She has a MMA record of 7 – 1 and a kickboxing record of 12 -1 – 1, not too shabby.

 

Haywire isn’t Carano’s first film role but it’s her first major role and a starring role at that. The film co-stars Michael Douglas, Michael Fassbender, Ewan McGregor, Channing Tatum, Antonio Banderas and Bill Paxton. For her first major role, Carano landed a notable bunch of supporting stars to help boost her name. Keep an eye out for more of Gina Carano on film and TV in the coming years, which shouldn’t be hard considering it’s tough to keep your eyes off of her.
